The Buenos Aires Stock Exchange drops 0.79% and closes at 31,281.32 units

The Merval index of the shares of the leading companies listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange closed today with a drop of 0.79% to 31,281.32 units.

At the end of the day, the General Stock Exchange Index stood at 1,365,868.03 points, with a drop of 0.41%, while the Merval 25 fell 0.72%, to 34,070.03 units .

The volume of businesses traded in shares totaled 873.69 million Argentine pesos (about 43.33 million dollars), with a result of 32 increases, 50 decreases and eight titles without changes in their quotation.

Among the leaders, the shares that won the most were those of Metrogas (2.82%), Aluar (BA: ALU) (2.28%) and Edenor (BA: EDN) (2.13%).

On the contrary, the papers of Grupo Supervielle (-3.76%), Loma Negra Compañía Industrial Argentina (-3.25%) and Transener (BA: TRA) (-2.85%) closed with a negative sign.

In the currency market, the Argentine peso appreciated by 0.24% today against the US dollar in the exchange market of Buenos Aires and closed at 19.90 pesos for the purchase and 20.40 pesos for the sale.
